Mark Lee @ Jurong Point

Pitied this guy somehow, people were queuing up for freebies..and his only job is to call out the queue number. And there were like hundreds of people there. My fellow singaporeans didn't disappoint me at all. all these people made an ant's line for the freebies..sorta reminded me of hello kitty.

Moving on, i finally got the last two books i wanted. Must admit there's some sense of satisfaction when u put some effort hunting for the books. I'll probably finish half a book by tonight.

Finally mustered the courage or should i say the energy, to run around my estate. i've been putting that thought off my mind because there are a lot of cars around, really bad air. but the rain convinced me otherwise, after a light drizzle, the atmosphere's perfect for exercise. probably ran about 4 km plus until i can't take it anymore. there are up slopes too mind you. after resting for lke half an hour, watching a few kids play basketball, i decided to join them just for the fun of it.

Bad mistake, playing with young people just made me realize my mortality. Damn they are rough, keep on banging here and there. 4 to 5 years ago, i wouldn't mind the pushing and shoving, cause i do alot of that myself too. But as you age, ur bones seem to become more and mroe fragile, i've broken a few major pieces in my life. i'm scared, i've learnt my lessons.

Went back to Ctss for the annual mooncaked festivities. I must say i'm a little disappointed. the turnout of the aluminis are getting lesser and lesser every year. well can't blame them, nothing's interesting in school anyway and most of the teachers that taught us have fled the planet. probably because Ng Han Ming is the VP now.. or some other reasons.

Gabriel, Nat, Terence and me went back. It was no surprise to see Shafiqah and Eileen back there. Eileen got slimer and more lady like. i repeat, lady like. Haha, hang around to see which teacher we could find and the performance was horrible. Every year's the same old routine.

Us three guys helped ourselves to the FREE mooncake. haha, yea u heard me FREE. but i think i just ate a total of one whole mooncake lar.. it's quite filling. The little junior of mine tending the table told me " this is not halal " ok, first and foremost, i dun care if it's halal or not. if it's edible, it goes into my mouth. secondly, i ain't a muslim. and thirdly, don't stereotype people can? but i appreciate the gesture. i'm a minority, what do you care? haha. did i mention the mooncakes are free? hoho. we gorged ourselves there on ice cream too. then some girl passed by us and gave us tea (free too by the way) gotta admit, at least the tea is a little above average grade. Here are the pictures for today.

So, would i be going back in the future? definitely.

i'll take nat's advice and harp on meaningful things in life for a change.

let's talk about the phrase "the grass is always greener on the other side" shall we? for those who have no idea what this idiom means, i'll explain. this phrase means that there are things in life that is always better than what you are occupied with now....or so thereof..

Now it got me thinking. we, humans, have this concept drilled into our systems during our early stages of growing by our parents or guardians, we will always be searching for that greener side in our life. no matter how green the grass is on the present site, we will always be pondering about the grass on the other side. like how people in society these days are always struggling for a social standing and material wealth.

However, there's this small pockets of people who are contended with their side of the grass and wouldn't give 2 cents to think what it would be like on the other side. In my opinion, these are the people who will truly have a full life. they will be contented with what they have and more importantly, they are happy.

Now comes the big question. will society be better off with the former group or the latter? with the former, it's a dog eat dog world, each vying for the position of top dog in society. but it does have its benefits, society/civilization are moved forward by ambitions of man and not forgetting some civilizations get destroyed by it as well. double edged sword i must say. with the latter group, society enjoys peaceful life. everyone's happy. but on the downside, society will be in a standstill. never moving forward, never caring and ever idle.

This will be an inner battle in my brain for the next couple of days, until i can find a more intriguing subject to touch on.

Another day, another problem. Did FYP as usual with willis in the morning. When we were about to finish, Mr Ng came in...and spoke to us for a few minutes. Apparently, he wants me to call the sponsor up and invite him down on thursday afternoon. This is what i've been dreading..the thing is, we have very little results to show and it's not because we were lazy. it's because of the stupid machine which kept breaking down and create useless obstacles for us. whoever said obstacles in life makes one stronger is crazy. Come thursday..i'll be knocking my knees together and as time goes by, the prospect of working in hockhua after my NS is getting dimmer and dimmer. This suck.

After FYP. went to find kelvin's gang again. But this time, i didn't hang around that much. Somehow getting negative auras from that area, don't know why. I took his racket and headed on towards the courts with willis to play first. HAHA...playing with willis is damn fun. i managed to exercise a lot lor.. wink*wink* u know what i mean dude..haha.

Went swimming after that. I'm surprised to see that SP actually allows swimming instructors to conduct their lessons in our compound. i'm dumbfounded. WHY THE FUCK ARE WE PAYING SO MUCH IN SCHOOL FEES FOR when the public can use our facilities too. I avoid the public swimming pools because of those wretched little brats whose parents don't see the need to educate them about basic etiquette. THEY FUCKING PISS IN THE POOL for the love of god (jesus, buddha or guan yin, take your pick) and the worse thing is that they get away with it. urgh...

After swimming, kelvin and willis came to find me at the pool. We went to food court 5 for some snacks after my shower. went back with willis. and on the mrt.. we saw this :

can see his nipples.... -.- DISCLAIMER: ain't discriminating anyone here.

ok, so this is my first post on this blog and here it goes. I went to do FYP with willis this morning. i must say although we are kinda behind time, i feel that things are finally going towards a positive direction. The machine works and our last run was a success. So i can only hope that the big guy up there will continue to smile upon me. whoever he is.

After FYP, we went to slack around with kelvin, Sharlene and shu zhen. My actual motive was to steal kelvin away and make him accompany me for my run. muahahaha. which he did by the way. We ran 2.4 km (6 rounds around the bloody track) and did pull ups etc. heh heh...hope your arms are sore now man.. might run again tomorrow.or just play badminton with the guys. btw.. i suck at racket sports.

Then came dinner. Miss Wee (my EIC teacher) invited the whole lot of peer mentors for dinner at swensen's. It must have cost her a bomb to pay for all the food cause I'm guessing each of us ate for like an average of $25 and considering there were 11 of us present, her wallet must have been burnt by a torch. Ate the crayfish pasta which was mediocre but the brownie was superb..
